Welcome to Geordieland Art - home of George Levitt, Watercolour Artist and Photographer. My interest in art began at school and when I did my National Service I spent all my spare time painting in oils. I continued to paint when I came out of the Army but changed my medium to watercolours. I am a founder member of Chester-le-Street Art Society. I have entered many exhibitions. Since I became a member of the Federation of Northern Arts, I have exhibited at the DLI in Durham, the Hatton Gallery in Newcastle, Shipley Art Gallery Gateshead, and several others. I also sell paintings at the North East Art Collective Gallery in Eldon Gardens in Newcastle I am at present a member of a new Art Club which we hope to start in the Community Center Pelton every Thursday Evening at 7.00pm.
